Professional Hmong Women Association

Our History...

In 2004 a group of Hmong women professionals and business owners saw a need for Hmong women to network and support each other.

As minority business owners and professionals living in the United States, they recognized that very few associations supported their work as women, nurtured their talents, and addressed their cultural needs.

As a result the Professional Hmong Women’s Association was created to address these areas. By doing so, they were able to provide a space for Hmong women to network and discuss their personal and professional challenges and opportunities.

Our Values...

Integrity. We envision our members to create and emulate integrity in all aspects of their lives and their representation of PHWA. Integrity is present when:

Self Development. We are committed to promoting and developing the personal and professional growth of all our members to achieve their individual dreams and goals. We make every effort to provide resources, education, tools, and other systems of support to help our members develop critical components of advancing their lives and assisting their true potential.

Harmony. We cultivate a culture that values and embraces harmony on a wholistic level that connects individuals to the essence of their being. We encourage a healthy life balance that includes self, family, work, and community.

Leadership Development. We are committed to developing and empowering leadership among our members to actively participate and seek out opportunities that challenge and nurture their leadership potential.

Women Initiatives. We promote and encourage women led projects and initiatives that positively impact others. We believe a focus on women initiatives will bring about inspiration and the creation of successful Hmong women.
